Sales Manager-IT Managed Services

Business Technology Partners (BTP), a fast-growing information technology services organization headquartered in Sumter, SC, with sales efforts throughout the Southeast, has an opening for a Kick Ass MSP Sales Manager who has proven experience and can make an impact the first week. This person must be extremely energetic and motivated to keep up with a high energy CEO and will be instrumental in growing BTP’s target markets in South Carolina with emphasis’s in the Columbia, Florence, and Greenville/Spartanburg area. Our primary office is in Sumter, SC but this role will primary work from home.

Reporting to the CEO, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Driving new recurring revenue business through the acquisition of new clients, cross selling and upselling to existing accounts
  • Working with the CEO to build an IT Managed Services sales department
  • Ability to close on two new customers each month
  • Fully proficient at selling managed IT solutions along with consultative solution sales, customer needs assessment and sales planning      and development including business cases, estimating, presentation/proposal/RFPs, closing the sale, & customer follow up
  • Positioning the company as a leader in IT Managed Services solutions through customer and targeted sales prospecting initiatives
  • Build structure and drive activity, including reporting on projected sales, pipeline, time-to-close, etc.…
  • Identifying, developing and maintaining business relationships with key influencers and decision makers
  • Responsibility for sales P&L, revenue target and ensuring all KPI’s are met
  • Contribute to and drive sales strategy
  • Manage and maintain email marketing and social media outlets

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Proven track record of consultative selling within IT Managed Services/technology solutions
  • Proven management & leadership skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • 3+ years Managed IT sales experience
  • Technical experience to support the services department as needed
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set

Additional Skills:

· Local government sales experience is a big plus

· Assist in establishing State and Federal contracts


  • Competitive Pay - $45,000 - $55,000 + Commission (Skies the limit)

  • Travel Requirements: Local travel up to 50% travel, ability to travel overnight and weekends as needed.
